Photography for University

I'm applying for a photography Course in my closest university.
I need to select 30 pictures that I have taken and put them into
my portfolio by February. I'm getting a canon 5D Mark II and a
50mm f:1:4 lens next January and I'm going All around Ireland
taking photo's. But until then. I need some help.. I want to use 15 photo's
that i have already taken. To show what my pictures were like when i started
and how they are now. My flickr account is http://www.flickr.com/photos/isauce
And i would appreciate it greatly if i could get a little help picking the pictures.
since my family are just saying they are all great. So i guess Random strangers
would be the best critics in this kind of thing.
