Yeah you recognized the generic reason, a common reason for shooting them down. That said, yours could also use a couple improvements in that area. The "I won't abuse" is a common claim, and as I said in my advice, it's not a selling point so much as it is an expectation, like selling a vacuum cleaner by saying it can be used to clean up dirt. The self improvement bit shows some thought has been put into your application, but is doesn't indicate something is in it for us.
True. Saying "I won't abuse" is too common. But, even though it's a too generic way of putting it, it's true.
As for the self-improvement bit, it's just enhancing my admin judgements; familiarizing myself with the admin level.
I didn't feel like explaining all of my experiences as being a good player; you have to see me play in-game to really judge my character.

I do not think of myself as higher than other players. What I meant by this was that I would be a great help if I approved/disapproved other admin applications. Or, as Jetz put it, find a reason to "shoot them down."
