Author Topic: No one can connect to my server  (Read 1088 times)

Hello. I was wondering if you could help me with an issue. No one can enter my server. I IRC'd one of my friends for him to come but he said the ping was ---. I don't want to have to port forward again. Please help. Your advice will be much appreciated.

From what it sounds like, you'll have to port forward. Assume your router got reset or something. Don't remember a lot about the mechanics, but port forwarding/enabling UPnP sounds like the required solution. Also, just wanted to point out, RTB no longer uses IRC, if that's what you were meaning in your post.

No, this is happening to me too, and some of my friends.  No one can connect to my server, nor my friends' servers.

We tried port forwarding but no one can join.  I don't know what is going on...

*EDIT: I even re-installed Blockland, that worked for me last time but apparently not this time.

Here are Your options that will help you host a server.

1.Enable uPnP in your router's homepage.
then make sure you don't have "Disable uPnP" enabled in options.

2. If you choose to forward ports,
Make sure the port you have forwarded matches the port you are using for blockland,
The default is 28000 But in case it isn't ,  Click "Start game" Then "advanced config" and make sure the "Port" matches the one you forwarded your router to.
-Also If you have forwarded your ports , Disable uPnP in advanced in the options menu in blockland. This will help in some cases.
- If you have installed a new Anti virus/spyware software make sure it isn't blocking blockland. Also make sure your firewall isn't either.

3. Enable DMZ in your router's homepage. It Opens all ports to your router. But BEWARE If your firewall is off and your anti virus/spyware software is off you are unprotected against hackers.

Wait. I have a DSL router. would the UpnP effect it?

It shouldn't.
But if it doesn't work, you're going to have to port-forward.
