I got Pokémon Mystery Dungeon - Gates of Infinity the other day.

It's really really good.
I played the demo too, I am a bit dissapointed however that you cannot play as starters from older generations, even without being on the demo. I have always used a Pikachu Charmander squad and I can't find myself buying it. It looks pretty cute but beyond that the gameplay is typically still repetitive.

I'm also kind of disappointed with the smaller selection of starters, but at least it gives you the free will to choose who you control and who your partner is. I hate having to choose certain answers on a survey just to get the starter I want.

Yeah, the biggest downside to the game is the lack of playable Pokemon, especially starters.
Out of the 649 pokemon in the Pokemon World (as of Gen5) you can only find/play as 144 in total.

Compare that to Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Darkness where you could play as 491 Pokemon, out of the 493 Pokemon as of Generation 4. (Only Arceus and Shaymin were left out).

You can however choose a Pikachu as your starting character however.
Other starters/partner Pokemon are; Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Axew and Pikachu.

The storyline seemed rather short, IMO.

I've completed the main storyline now, which took 3 or 4 days for me to do. (Not playing constantly, but playing a lot).
Maybe I was just bad at Explorers of Time, but that seemed to take me much longer.

The storyline is rather sad though.
Hate to admit it, but I was rather close to shedding tears at the very final part of the main storyline. (I won't give spoilers).

I still have the post-Main Storyline to complete however.

i am fully aware the small choice role the game has, i have the INTERNET

dun dunnn

maybe i'd get it on a super sale like on the eshop channel

Just posting this non-video game related stuff here since this is the biggest thread relating to Pokemon

The new ending credits for Pokemon Best Wishes now shows Sylveon on the bottom right with Leafeon even though it's yet to appear in the anime (not until July at least) or the games (not counting X and Y because it's not out yet)

And the ending credits also has the camera pan along a still picture of some the main protagonists and rivals throughout the anime

I noticed May is wearing her outfit from Pokemon Emerald

Since Ash, Iris and Cilan are going to Kanto, i hope to see some of these characters return

I noticed May is wearing her outfit from Pokemon Emerald
She had the same outfit in D&P: Galactic Battles, so it isn't anything new.

I don't think i seen many episodes of that, so i probably missed it

Quite a bit of stuff happening regarding X&Y going on this week:

- The Pokemon presentation and Q&A session at E3 on Tuesday, June 11th
- An issue of CoroCoro reported to have more information on X&Y being released on Saturday, June 15th
- An episode of Pokemon Smash featuring X&Y airing on Sunday, June 16th

The latter two could easily only be relaying the information that is revealed during the E3 panel, but we can't really know for sure

Anyone play Pokemon 3D?

The game's a 3D version (that still uses sprites) of HG/SS, it's not finished yet (not exactly sure how far it goes just yet since I only have my third badge) and it's a lot of fun, you should try it if you haven't.
The game also allows you to play co op on your own hosted servers.

Traveling:

The Pokemon X&Y segment of Nintendo's E3 presentations will be taking place today at 6pm PDT/9pm EDT/2am BST according to the official site.

Here we go...

A new trailer featuring gameplay was released today, and not only did it show what battles will look like, it also revealed some new Pokemon, as well as...

Fairy type. Yep, whether you like it or not, it's real, and it's super-effective against Dragon. Gardevoir, Marill, Jigglypuff, and potentially more will be converted to have Fairy as a second type, and Sylveon will be the Fairy-type Eeveelution.

We also have two new Pokemon:

Noivern (top) and Vivillon (bottom, it allegedly evolves from a Pokemon called Spewpa, but nothing is known about it)

Watch the trailer for all you need to see, including Xerneas and Yveltal on the attack.

So another butterfly, another creature with big holes as well as another bat. Fairy type. Probably a dwarf, hobbit, etc. type coming up.
