so in X and Y whats the easiest way I would go about catching a Shiny of something like Fennekin or something?

I know you can find it in the safari place but idk how that place works or when I actually get access to it.

The easiest way of getting a shiny like Fennekin or something is to breed. Pokeradar is super difficult (for me at least), and there's a very limited amount of Pokemon you can get from fishing.

Your chances are best in the Friend Safari with a Shiny Charm but the likelihood of it being viable for anything other than extremely casual battling is slim to none unless you have a Pokemon with the Synchonize ability and the nature you want in the first slot in your party

PokeRadar is unusable in the Friend Safari so for a Pokemon like Fennekin that doesn't appear anywhere else in the wild it's not valid

Breeding with the Masuda Method is your other option and can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few weeks
