I don't know if this goes in Off Topic or Games, so i'll put it in Games since it's about a game

So does this mean that it IS Half Life 3 and not Episode Three? Why would Valve be giving out merchandise (even though it was an event in Seattle) before their own game is released to the public? What could this mean?

I think it's just that Valve likes to troll.

"Oh yup, Half Life 3 the shirt is out!"

Fake shirt.

Lambda should be emphasized more than the three. They need to switch places.

lolnope

See what this one looks like? This is from the Valve online store. Now go back and look at the other shirt. Do you see any differences?

They wanted it to show the 3 better

There is no 'TM', the number and the lambda have switched places and the two 2's have been changed into 3's

It's a HUGE difference, man! A huge huge difference!

I think they are going to make a surprise release.
They are almost finished developing it but nobody knows, probably not even some of the people that work at valve.

I see your point.

Okay.

it looks like any stuffty printed shirt you can get specially made for $15 online.

Which is exactly why an employee would go get one made.

Maybe the reason the 3 is inside the circle is because it is going to be Episode 3 instead of Half-Life 3, where the Lambada would be in the circle.

The best way I can explain this, is because the HL2 shirt has the Lambada on the inside (Half-Life symbol) and the number 2 is outside of the circle (Half-Life 2). On the new shirt, the Lambada and number have switched. A Half-Life 3 shirt would probably have the number on the outside, but for an episode it's inside.

Sounds pretty confusing, but it's the only way I can explain what I think.
