Author Topic: Why is Batman a dark and gritty character now?  (Read 2672 times)

Superheroes were better in the 60's.

the guy in the image looks older and the guy in his avatar looks younger...

He obviously has an identity crCIA.

I agree.

I miss the unrealistically large "POW!" popping up whenever he hits someone.

Oh yeah, speaking of Robin, Trogtor.

What the dump is this?
I don't remember Robin being some skinhead that beats people with a stick.
eminem!

"~I'm a bad boy 4 LIFE and idc if i get grounded~"
"I like to chat with online girls to "get it in~" "

It's like pie man all over again.
Except pie man was seriously trying to be tough, lol.

Psssh.

That ain't the first time sister.

For that matter, this isn't the first time Batman has been gritty.

If we're talking film versions alone, Batman has been gritty since the 80s with Tim Burton's Batman.

And if we talk comics, we're talking the late 70s when every hero got a gritty edge. Batman, on the other hand, was gritty before them even.

If you think the new Nolan films or the new game is real grit, you need to read yourselves some Frank Miller.

I can kinda understand bulges but ... nipples?!

The modern Batman is bad-ass

The classic Batman is silly.

-lol-

It got worse. They added nipples.
