Just a note, if you want to simplify all your calculations for the curve of the wire, you can use trig functions.

Right now I'm using the standard from for a parabola according the the conic section definition, 4p(y-k) = (x-h)^2 or (y-k) = (1/4p)(x-h)^2. I don't know of any function to make it simpler. Unless maybe there is a function for a 3D parabola that I can use to calculate the x, y and z all at ones.

cool resource though i probably wont ever use it in a build.

Any scripter know the best way to save extra data? The only way I can think of is using a separate file. However I think I would need to use a radius search to find each bricks for the wire to attach to, which seems extremely inefficient.

Events, hopefully there's an onBrickPlant or something of the sort.

If you were using Beta 3, please download Beta 4. It fixes all the problems.

That's why I suggested this:

I assume that the wires don't save? The way it should be set up is that the wire is in the emitter menu and then you name two bricks the same thing and set both of them to the emitter and it links them. Maybe the wand could simply be used to set the emitter/name them automatically?
Then when the bricks are loadplanted you simply search for a match and link them.

I don't see the script in the add-on list (beta 4)

Looks like I forgot to include the description.txt. I re-uploaded a fixed version.

This could be very useful. No more using the LaserA emitter to make wires now! >:D

This will never be passed due to how laggy and inefficient it is.

Pretty straight forward. He lost (I'm guessing) around 30 FPS with a small build.

But isn't 30 FPS normal for a game?
Or am I thinking of games like Half Life 2?

No, jacksaunt was saying that he probably lost 30 fps from what he was supposed to get.
