Gunshots can be imprecise and not kill the animal immediately. There are several methods used in slaughterhouses that kill the animals quickly as possible.

Now because it's a cat and it's all "aww lovey dovey fluffy kitten" it's inhumane? It's the same thing.

Besides people slaughter animals for us to eat every day in cruel ways- and instead of getting fined, they get the opposite: paid because it's their job.
