I amn't trying to justify it, it's sick and cruel.
What I'm saying is you guys do almost what this guy does.
You eat meat for the taste which is entertainment of a sort. This guy drowns kittens for entertainment. You both kill for entertainment. Yes what he did is a bit worse because it was a slow death but death is death. If you guys feels this upset then maybe you should seriously consider what you eat.
Okay, I, and many other people, only try to eat meat that has lived a decent life, and not shoved in some tiny cage injected with hormones and then slaughtered in half the normal time it would've taken a normal chicken. But if the cows who provided meat for some restaurant I went to once were not treated fairly, I'm not going to cry about it.
Meat is from pigs, cows, chickens, etc... that are RAISED to provide food for people. If they are given a good life while they are alive, I don't see how much better you could make it and still have people eat meat.
People eat meat for FOOD, and have been doing so since the beginning of time.
This man took ADOPTED KITTENS, which are DOMESTIC PETS, and killed them in several horrible ways. This is not remotely similar to eating meat.
