Author Topic: 64x/48x road plates  (Read 1977 times)

I've noticed nobody has made any 64x or 48x road plates. I know a lot of us could use them, including me.

I usually build large cities, and i want to lower the brick count. The default road plates are too small, and building the roads takes too long and rises the brick count significantly. All I'm asking for is 64x and 48x plates with the road extended on them.

Support, anyone?

Nobody has done it because of the way roads are set up

a simple straight road extended would be a little difficult, while a turning road would be a sore bitch to set up

and do you mean stretched? mirrored? or what

either way, its still very difficult

Forget i said stretched, i was thinking of something else.
how would it be difficult to set up?

Getting tired of bumping this

Why is it difficult to make this again?

The roads would be blurry because the texture is stretched.

Any way to get around that?

Don't use road plates. That shows everyone you're lazy. Built your roads from scratch.

...and watch the brickcount skyrocket.
I support this.

Use whatever you want. Roadplates have a certain charm to them.

Im just gonna bump this once again...

Not if you do it right.

Still, what if you dont want to build your own roads?

You know a brick can be more or less as complex as you like if someone makes a good collision shape for it.

You could have a single-brick road that is the road, a slightly angled gutter area and two plates height to the sidewalk. With sidewalks around the turn and whatnot. Sure, it's a lot of work, but eh.

Also the road texture wouldn't stretch because it's just the ramp texture repeated with colors applied IIRC. Just adds more repeats of the texture.
