Sure, it took me a while to figure out how to place a baseplate but it's not hard.

When I first got the game. I didn't know that 1 and 3 on the numpad moved it up/down a little, so I kept clicking in an attempt to get it to place the brick. That was back in 2008 or something like that, though.
