I agree with Plethora.

I may leave pretty soon if this stinkin' plague keeps going. 

I took a quarter of everyone's population and set it from 10-that if it got to the stage where deaths would occur. The only time I didn't do this is when I started the plague in the camps.

Death rates have begun to drop in civilized areas, barbarians likely still have the infection.

I'm still inclined to believe that it's rigged against me, and if there are too many aftershocks, I'm going to bring the world down with me in a flaming mess, but I'll recede in my disagreement now.

You should really put in a factor of how strong the efforts to control the plague are into your means of deciding casualties. put the whole operation over 1 to 10. For the sake of Nexia's all important "realisticness".

Also, I'm sending the infected on a mass crusade to overrun Nexia. Down with Amnesh.

If that's what you want to think, then fine whatever.

I think plethora and morningstar should either get out or deal with it.  They have not been any fun to RP with and I have trouble differentiating them from each other because they both act exactly the same way.  I would not be surprised if the same nine year old was controlling both accounts.

I'm not going to tell them to leave but this is an RP and bad stuff will happen to your empire.

Your sick have a very slim chance of surviving the march into the Nexian tundra, and barbarians still control much of the area inbetween.

Your point is so soundly true there is nothing I can do about it.  :( 

Either way I benefit, my enemy may/may not be infected, and the sick are out of my system, at least for the present time.

Which brings me to an epiphanie, number of deaths should also correspond to number of infected.

Since infection rate occurs as a function of the number of people involved, it would make sense for larger population to have a higher percentage of infected than a smaller one.  Also, distance to the epicenter of infection should play a part.

If people want to declare what they are doing to prevent the infection, they should make actual sacrifices.  Just stating in a wall of text isn't really what this game is about.  It would be better if people announced that they are sacrificing certain resources or closing trade, diverting money, or reducing growth rate to protect against disease.

Well, so far everything I've declared has been deaths, so how many are infected? That's for you to decide.
