Also, if the big babies decide to attack you for aiding us, i will send troops to protect you.
Thank you.

mitologia starts mining, to get resources and tools for slainte.

mlockha, I made a flag for your alliance, and you help my enemy?  fore-shame!
Anyway, my navy increases in size and we are souping up our flagship, the Morning Glory
I still think we should vote on the war instead of fight.
Also, I think Avalonia is not upset about your killing barbarians, he's upset cause you threatened him over taking them in as refugees.
Why would he care about them other than labor?

I think you are stuck in a late medieval/renaissance mindset.  In the ancient/classical era, naval boats were maybe galleys at best.

Also there were no Siege Towers, Ballistas, or Trebuchets.  Longswords, lances, and crossbows are far fetched too, as there was no such thing as a knight nor a way to make usable armor.

At 500 BC, Greece had flourished, Rome was growing, and the Persian, Babylonian, and assyrian Empires had all come along. Each of these empires exhibited use of such powerfull weapons as catapults and siege towers. The Phonecian empire was also a dominant naval power. If you want to use rocks and pointy sticks against your enemies, be our guest, but do not hinder our advancement if you will not aid it.

Seriously, countless empires had develpoed these weapons, at least to some degreehowever rudimentary the design was.

Wasn't that obvious? I think you're the one who is getting upset over barbarians frontrox. You're the one whou would "come into my basements" to hunt them down and ruthlessly slaughter them. I'm just in it for my own gain, you sem to have something personal against them.

Yes, I would appreciate raw materials, not weapons.

Mining Resources:
20 Iron
10 Gold
1 Diamond

All except 5 iron is given to slainte.

Avalonia continues construction of its navy, which fell into disuse and disrepair during the plague. Already, the old ships have been refurbished and upgraded, and new ones are being crafted as quickly as possible.

The underground shelters have been fully finished, and are being upgraded to support underground life for even longer periods of time. They have also been improved to resist forced entry or assault, due to the hostilities between Avalonia and the forces of Slainte and Caprica. The All
Enclosing Wall has been repaired and improved.

The city of Tar Phazaron, which is the capitol of the "barbarians" living in Avalonia is experiencing some turmoil, as members of tribes both friendly and hostile to those being slaughtered by Caprica try to determine the mass standpoint of their people. The side opposed to aiding the Caprican refugees has the majority vote, but a recount has confirmed foul play, and so it has been decided by their masses to accept the refugees as fellow Avalonians. Dissenters still remain.

Came across a town, looks like they were about to launch a counter attack before we arrived.

Our light infantry was decimated by their heavy infantry.....But they were no match for our heavy infantry
.

It was a slaughter.... For them....Not us

If you're wondering, the barbarians were equally experienced and equipped to the level of my Heavy infantry. I try really hard to not make the battles one sided.

Frontrox, do you have Empire: Total War?

Frontrox, do you have Empire: Total War?
Nope...just Rome: Total war.

Anyway, I have decided to use my navy as a kind of deploy unit to put men on the remains of Oofer Villa.

We arrive to find the tattered remnants of a once flourishing colony.  Progress on rebuilding and searching for resources and life begins.
Island renamed Isle Vae
Troop count rises, ships found on the island repaired and navy expands.
Too much good is happening, so to prevent Nasoa's wrath, a storm blows up the ships and it will take weeks to make new one's from the wreckage.  Also, is it necessary to put an image of your battle, Frontrox?  I mean RALLY!  It just takes up space.

Coup d'etat occurs.  New leader is Maximilian.  His ideals make him a choice leader, but because he took over with force, it may be necessary to make a sort of parliament for my nation to prevent another absolutism.  Government type becomes a monarchy/oligarchy.

Three gemstones of unrivaled value and beauty have been discovered deep in an Avalonian mine.

A tribe of "barbarian" peoples has taken up the worship of the three gems, and hidden them in a vault deep beneath the surface of the earth. They will guard the gems with their lives, and suffer none save themselves to look upon them. The great fortress they are setting about the vault has been named Angband, and is rivaled in defensive capability only by the greatest of Avalonia's city strongholds.

As the mine belonged to the tribe that claims the gems as their own, Avalonia is permitting them to keep the gems for themselves, and as they are proving a defensive benefit to Avalonia, they permit them to train troops.

Storms cause chaos in the building of ships, many are dammaged, but few have been destroyed. It is estimated that it will take up to six months to repair all of the ships.

mitologia would like a alliance with caprica and slainte.

I lack the descriptive power to explain the battle to anyone. Besides it's just a few images....and on one page, not like its not the op or anything. It's the barbarians to the east if you didn't remember.

Accepted.
