As Avalonia is allied with Rossiya Imperii, and not with Masona, it will honor its foremost obligations, and remain neutral until actions to force a non-neutral stance regarding the war occur. However, if Avalonia becomes threatened by either side henceforth, it will be taken as an open hostility and act of war, forcing violent retaliation. Avalonia will not side with the guild, although allied with Rossiya Imperii, as Eranium, which was attacked by the guild, is a member of the Eastern Consortium, which Avalonia leads.

Seventh turn of the Battle for Masona:

TTG charges towards Central Masona. The Empire launches jugs of alcohol at the charging troops. It burn them apart. Troops that didn't burn charge to the walls and attempted to seige. Archers shoot them down.   Masonian bladesmen attacked the rest. First round of seiging was successfully prevented by the Empire.

The Erinamian heavy fleet is waiting off shore of Western Masona, and is awaiting orders from Masona to bombard any TTG fortifications along the coast.  60 regular war vessels join the fleet and await orders from Masona.  A western front hunger blockade* is suggested by Erinaum's war council, since most areas occupied by TTG are along the southwestern area.

Erinaum's high priests are outraged at Avalonia's decision to withdraw troops when an ally united by sacred religious pact is in need.  People shout in the streets all over Erinaum and some 15 Avalonian immigrants in Erinaum were lynched by riotors.  The police try to keep them under controll.

*A hunger blockade is a blockade that allows no goods or information or any vessel to pass through the blockade.  The Erinamian High War Council's suggestion is to starve out TTG fortifications in these regions.

Any captured Masonaian Empire troops are being sent to mining labor camps.

Eight turn of the Battle for Masona:

A second wave of troops from TTG. Another launch of flaming alcohol-filled jugs are sent flying. Flames scatter over the battle field, burning many. Remaining soldiers siege the walls. Archers attack. A few soldiers get past the archers but are killed by the bladesmen. TTG retreats and reforms.

Look, it's not that I don't want to be a part of this, but I just demilitarized to start with. Secondly, as much as I would love to back YOU up, Swat, Mikoyan has been my ally through the war with Caprica, and you're my trading partner. Lastly, should I turn on Rossiya, he's my neighbor, not smart for me to tick him off, regardless of whose side he chooses.

Nonetheless...

Outraged by Rossiya Imperii's blatant disregard of Avalonia's choice to support the Masona, Avalonia cuts its alliance with Rossiya Imperii until it should desist from aiding the thieves guild. Rossiya has proven an expensive ally, as its over-hasty actions at the Caprican mines suggested long ago.

Avalonian warships return to Masona's western shores and begin bombardment. No effort will be made to single out or to spare Rossiyan troops in the area of bombardment. No offensive upon Rossiya will be made; nonetheless, the segment of the all-enclosing-wall bordering Rossiya is being fortified doubly, and the nation begins to re-militarize. No rest for the weary.

Ninth turn of the Battle for Masona:

The last wave attacks. Fire rains. Troops fall. Siege. Archers. Sieged. Gaurds. All die. We push back TTG back to Eastern Masona. Bomardment of the coasts proceed. TTG batten down the hatches.

A violent counter-attack took place consisting of TTG mercs and Aloisian troops. Aloisian cavalry charged the Empires forces from the left flank and crippled them. The mercs and swordsmen came soon after attacking the right flank putting a large dent in the forces. Aloisian and TTG forces have lost a little less than half of the men.
