You all are welcome to use Åkkáłé¡ with your ships.  Erinaum's markets sell it internationally.  It is just more expensive for the countries not a part of the Eastern Consortium because of tariffs.

On a similar note, if we are going to pursue gunpowder, we might as well focus on jumping straight to the Renaissance age.  There appears to also be no "collapse of the Roman Empire" event in proportion to cause the Dark Ages.

Catapults on ships are perfectly reasonable.  You shouldn't have brought up gunpowder in the first place.
