The Lancaster crew is marched through the middle of St. Fydorsgobod. The crew has rocks thrown at them and are scrutinized.
cigarette, get on ps3.

I'd say no on nukes, yes on nuclear power.  Someone will just end up firing all their arsenal and blowing everyone's stuff up.  I'd like Anagaea to continue into the far future if possible.

Also, once I get Blockland back on my computer, I'd like to do a mini-empires with this, starting at the time when the RP started.  Think this would be fun?

So fun I'd do it myself if I hadn't just finished building V2 of Magic vs Technology TDM and wasn't eager to give it a test run.

Basically Swat, you want no superweapons, but that will make things worse that if nukes were being used. The threat of nuclear retaliation was all that really kept the US and USSR out of direct war. Personally I'd prefer to avoid war where possible.

Well, since I cannot change your mind...

Anyways, are we interested in doing a Mini-Empires server for Anagaea?

I wish there were a way of not having nukes while at the same time allowing superweapons in the future when we can blow up a planet (equivalent of say, a territory). Outlaw superewapons until they're not super anymore? This is one thing that I wish I could fully agree with you on. Allow but have everyone swear o use not nukes on whoever should use one?

All for mini empires. Best idea Anagea's seen since resources.

I think it would be neat to use nukes for mining on planets, when all labor is automated.

Cool idea, but you can't very easily focus a nuclear explosion, it's just too powerful, I'm sure we'll be able to do it when we're mining other planets for resources. I think a nuclear reaction producing positrons would work out to be pretty interesting; wonder if they have bombs that do that.

Are you talking about M-AM engines?

No, I mean some nuclear reactions produce positrons, which are a part of antimatter (anti-protons and regular neutrons make up the rest of it), and I have to wonder if there are any nukes that use that to cause massive explosions, because antimatter produces some huge explosions when it comes in contact with regular matter.

Now that I think about it, probably not. Antimatter is the most expensive substance in existence, but the head of a pin's worth of antimatter could take Rhode Island off the map. But there's a lot of atoms in the head of a pin, and most nuclear reactions that produce positrons only produce one. You'd really have to hate someone to blow up even the smallest nation on our map, (even though we seem to have infinite money) it'd cost a few times Earth's (or Anagea's) pooled value to afford such a weapon.

The problem about antimatter is it is extremely difficult to contain.  One wrong move and you lose everything you created.

And everything around it.

Presuming antimatter is magnetic like normal iron, one could contain it in a vacuum where it's held suspended by very strong magnetic fields.

I'm off for night. Pleasure talking future of science with you.
