I'm having this too. In fact, I'm probably that "someone" you mentioned in your original post.

If multiple people have having this problem, hopefully Badspot will fix it for the next update.

Except that it still happens with a fresh install

It appears to be an issue with avatars themselves. Fresh Installs with all defaults appear to only not fix the problem when you already have prefs saved onto the config under servers.

The issue is with TDM and Slayer, or any gamemode that modifies player appearance, since it must first locate the decals and thumbs.

I have yet to explain the fresh install issue, or why after deleteing bot events, the glitch was removed, only to be revived later.

You have two solutions to fix this, well actually three.
1) Delete Slayer and, TDM.
2) Re-add the original default decals and faces to their original directors before badspot moved them to the add-ons foulder.
3) Tell the creators of slayer and TDM to fix the way they locate decals/faces.

As far as I can tell the issue isn't Slayer or TDM because:
1) You said it still happened on a vanilla install.
2) I know how Slayer and TDM do team uniforms. They use the standard avatar GUI and then grab the output once you click Done. They don't do any of this locating decals and thumbs stuff. All of the actual face selection and stuff is not modified, at least by Slayer. I'm pretty sure TDM does something with that, but I can't see it causing problems.
3) I have both of those mods installed and this glitch doesn't happen to me.

So in other words, the fixes are random at best? Cuz deleting slayer and tdm fixed it.

But you also said that deleting bot events fixed it. And you said that it sometimes happened on a vanilla install. So makes me think it isn't Slayer or TDM.

I had this issue with TDM before Slayer came out, and I have it now with Slayer too.

I hate it with a passion

Do you know if it was TDM/Slayer or if it's something else?

It might just be totally random, I'll check tomarrow to see if the glitch happens again, since the bot events "fix" un-fixed itself overnight.
However, deleting slayer/tdm and running with basic dm has presently fixed it.

At any rate, I believe a perminate fix would be anyone who has an old v14 or 19 blockland foulder, with the base's contents to be unloaded. I'll see if that perma fixes tomarrow as well, as I need my beauty sleep.

Yep, Problem's back. Its not Slayer, or TDM. Pardon my language, but what the hell is going on? This is seriously beginning to piss me off, so deleting random add-ons fixes it temporarily, apparently.

I had this problem, its the Fillcan, remove the fillcan and you can have your faces back.
