So my first issue revolves around not asking for forgiveness when you know you've done wrong. I think a fundamental part of knowing that you've done wrong is desiring forgiveness, otherwise you have not truly committed something you feel is wrong.
I don't subscribe to the beliefs, but I've ran across a number of folks who do. So to the best of my understanding: The ideology is basically self-indulgence and individualism, so the need to seek forgiveness is pretty much eliminated. By their logic, you shouldn't feel guilty for doing something against another if you benefited from it in some way. And you shouldn't feel guilty for doing something society deems as wrong if you don't see it as wrong. So it isn't as much "I will not seek forgiveness" as it is "I will not
need to seek forgiveness".
As for the assisting others thing, I think it changes from person to person. Generally, though, if someone needs help and is willing to better themselves, most people would be glad to help out in some way--
Yes, this. :o
