My memory is EXTREMELY foggy on this so bear with me.

- You could generate shapes like squares and rectangles, as well as axles, gears, and I THINK belts.

- You could designate sources of power and pick which object it was driving.

- The website had a place to submit videos of your creations, and I think even competitions.

- They had their own YouTube channel.

That's all I can really remember. Sorry I can't be more specific, but I already tried searching the forum cause I know it was mentioned here, and maybe even had a topic.

Your description reminds me of Phun, but that's 2D.

doubt this is it, but endorphin?

I've played all of those except "powder game" and they are not what he's asking for.

This looks interesting..
I might try it out some time.

That looks awesome so go make a topic about it.

Somebody make a topic. I suck at creating OPs.

golems is hard to use :(

It seemed hard at first for me too, but after building a differential from scratch, I got the hang of it.

This looks amazing. I'll download now, unfortunatly with my extremely slow internet it'll take 45 minutes to an hour and a half.
It's only 11MB too. ;-;
