Author Topic: Graphics Card Questions  (Read 2413 times)

Apparently my graphics card for my new computer sucks. I think it was worse than my old computer.

Any helpful tips on which graphics card I should get? :0

Post your specs, and if you can, your old computer's specs.

New PC is good. I'm not sure about the Processor though. You'll also need a actual card, depending on what you're doing. If it's just Blockland and web, then it's fine. But, if it's TF2 or CS:S you want to play, you'll need to upgrade.

Intel HD graphics family

I don't think that is really good

It isn't great, but it's okay. It'll run games like TF2 and CS:S with a CFG at 20fps, or Terraria at about 40-60 on average settings.

Lol you went from a stuffty processor to another stuffty processor.  The only thing better is 6GB of RAM.  It's like a computer made exactly to rip people off.

But I want a better one, like a really good one, but not too good.

Give me a list of 5 games you want to play.

Also, post your budget?

I have like $100

Games I wanna play with no lag.

1. Blockland
2. Minecraft
3. Audiosurf
4. Dead Island
5. Skyrim

Hmm, $100. That would buy like, a GPU. That's it.  You'll need a PSU, a GPU, and a new processor. Around $200 to $300. Maybe less, I don't know. But for sure, not in the $100 range.

1. Blockland
2. Minecraft
3. Audiosurf
Those 3 are relatively non-demanding, if you play Minecraft on a short-ish draw distance. But Dead Island and Skyrim will take quite a bit more to run well.

Also depending on what resolution you plan on playing on.

And yea, you'll need to see if you're current PSU can handle the load.
