Author Topic: Laptop taken away because of too much time on it & grades.  (Read 1847 times)

An F in any subject that matters (worth 1 credit or higher) is unacceptable by any standards. Try and get it to a C+. See if your school offers tutoring.

my only C is Algebra 2

because I suck at math in general
My only B is in math
Because i re-do all my tests.

Get the highest grades you can, and if you can't manage it on your own, fortheloveofgod GET HELP. I'm pulling all A's with four honors classes (Biology I, Algebra II, LA and US History), and it's tough as stuff. But you've just got to remember that doing more work now means less work in college, and more opportunities come with higher grades. Plus, high grades get you scholarships.

My brother got a full ride of scholarships, everything paid for for 4 years, at his college, because of his grades after highschool. His college even pays him to go there, as a model student for others. I'm not sure about the legality of this, but hey, he's broke as stuff and not taking the money is stupid.

Well the sucky thing right now is im in winter break so i can't fix my grades or do test correstions or go to afterschool tutoring.I'll think about out of school tutoring. How about sylvan?

What does that have to do with my grades?
Your parents say you spend too much time on your laptop. Get off your ass and exercise.

Talk to your guidance counselor. They will always have good advice on tutoring. Personally, I've never used a tutor but if you go to your school's office and ask usually they have a student tutoring program.

This doesn't help for the fact that it's winter break, but once school's back on try to get one.

This man is smart. Doing work now means big money later. I have never gotten anything lower than an "A"
(except when I missed a test/work because of sickness, got it up the next day. It helps that it was only a progress report.), since kindergarten. I skipped first grade, and have had the opportunity to skip grades since then. (Mother wouldn't let me.)
