summary of the past 3 weeks:
We cancelled our internet and phone with Bell because they constantly think it's on my end (bitch please, my network is 100Mbits to each computer on the network,) and now we keep getting phone calls from telemarketers more than we would normally (maybe one or two each day, now it's about four to seven,) and our latency to everything has not gone down from 100ms+ yet.
It would have been at least 60ms 2 years ago, but ever since my dad changed from unlimited bandwidth to a 60GB cap plan (to save $5, what a stupid move,) our internet has been absolute stuff. I have been on the phone with support multiple times, they all said it was my network until about 3 months ago. Then, since I knew how to confuse the indian over the phone to get to a senior tech, they kept saying it was their problem; one even tried to offer me a discount.
When he transferred me to the business department (for cancelling and payment issues,) they had to hang up so they could go talk to the technical team and see if I was lying about the congestion issues. They never called back.
Round 2: I called back and went directly to the business department. When I explained again, they said they had to put me on hold to go check with the technical team. I heard them take me off hold (voices in the backround,) then a clicking noise. They hung up on me again.
Round 3: I was at wit's end with these dense motherforgeters. They sent a technician to my house to reset my modem and try to "fix" my internet connection. This is when we cancelled.
tl;dr: Bell Canada is a money whoring company that would rather buy a hockey team than fix their service. Don't even loving consider them for anything.
