Author Topic: I have the slowest internet in Canada right now.  (Read 1845 times)

The trees are trying to take over.

if you live in an area with a bad service provider, call them and ask if you could install a sattellite on your roof to provide to your neighbors. They will often do it for free and give you 10-50 cents a month per person on the connection.

This is stuff.
I feel your pain.

Who was your old service provider

My internet is forget roosters.
It's usually 5MB dl speed and ever since I tried to download the music for kalphiter's party it's been crashing at random. It just completely loving shuts down.

I used to have Comcast, which was faster, but we had to get rid of it for some reason. Forget why. Any better choices for an American Internet Provider?

Who was your old service provider
bas3toronto.dsl.(numbers here).sympatico.ca
Now: bas14.dsl.london(numbers here).bell.ca
Switching to Cogeco, it's much more reliable, and at times, they give you more speed than promised (according to one of my friends.)

Mine is an A- or something. Faster than 80% of USA or something.

Yep, that's about the same speed we payed for, 1.5 mb/s

Try Ethernet. Maybe it will boost it a little but considering its direct and not wireless.

upload speed is bleh but download speed will do.

reliability is OK

I used to have a really stuffty speed. But I just got a new router, so now it's a lot faster :3
