My new system is pretty sweet- E4400@2.8ishGhz with 2GB Patriot and an X1800XT :-D Antec SonataIII case, too :-D

lol, when i click that opera tells me i need to make a new account.

If anything, I would get an Alienware, because those are really good for gaming, and I would get a Macinstuish (Mac).

.... I paid a grand total of about $600 for my sweet rig... The same thing elsewhere would be hiked about 40% :-P Just for a brand name!

After, about what seems to be apox 3-4 houers of work, I came up with this.

yeah, but the best way to do it is just start from scratch.

I would get for my system:

  • Dual Core Processor = $1000-$2000
  • ASUS P5K DELUXE/WIFI-AP LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard = $215
  • SAPPHIRE 100201SR Radeon HD 2900XT 512MB 512-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card = $390
  • Free 1GB Ready Boost pen drive w/ combo, ends 9/30 Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 750GB 3.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive = $210
  • A heavy duty power supply. = $50-$100

Of all of that plus the CD/DVD players, Case to put everything (Must be a big case to fit everything), any memory would do fine but you should get around 1-2GBs would cost in total around 2000 dollars. But thats really good because that right there is a very high tech computer, and could handle anything that the internet/programs throw at it with rapid speed.

wow, those pictures are huge, but nice job on them

We have the same resolution.

We have the same resolution.

That we do.

Although I run windowed.

if you had a 20" screen would you run it in a window? :3

@Lavish

Go for an Antec case, or Lian-Li if you have the budget. You wont be sorry!!
Also... That 750GB drive is just too much. For that price, go get yourself 3x160GB drives, and RAID5 the job. More performance!!

Oh. Mine's actually 22". And I do run it in a window.

alienware is just dell factory. using the same part everyone uses for custom comps, but charges way up the ass for the lame alien logo.

Just get one custom build at a computer shop for about $1,100 to $1,400, it's what I plan on doing once I'm sure I have the money.

Get it from Robotnik, they have awesome prices.
