Author Topic: Hosting Server problem (Vista)  (Read 1990 times)

I don't know if its vista, but I've updated my drives and port forward but my server comes up dead. Windows firewall has been set to allow Blockland and its turned off, my Anti-virus wasn't even install before I did all this but I set it to allow. What else can I do?

Re port forward seems like the only thing you can do

I'm not sure about vista, but you may also have to open the UDP Port 28000 - 28030 , so Blockland can listen on them, allowing blockland in the firewall doesn't always mean it can also listen on ports.

Well, and check for port forwardings, and always remember to use UDP!!,
if you need help for portforwarding, look at http://portforward.com

Its still broken D=

Have you set up a static IP? (Last step on Badspot's guide)

The Portforward.com instructions work if you use them as well as a static IP.

Static IP is hard to work out...

Your IP should be on your router page some where, just click on everything.

i dont really trust portforward.com its to forward

and it costs money to forward your ports(dumbest thing ive ever heard)

Money? lolwtfbbq moron.

To get your local IP type ipconfig in the Command Prompt.

Why the heck did this guy just bump a half year old topic? Mrpickle's post was on July 01, 2007.
