forget yes police guys +1

stupid ass kid, who doesnt drop a gun after being told to by police

was his IQ like, -1?

yee haw

texas law at work :)

To be honest and fair towards the police, the kid should have been less handicapped. Really? Pull out a CO2 pistol? And from the look of the weapon on the pictures, he took off the orange tip. loving dumbass. Him being shot and killed was excessive and I agree with the mother that one shot to incapacitate him would have been the better course of action. But from all perspectives, it's the kids fault. He should have been edgamacated about replica firearms more. Plus, why didn't the kid drop his pistol after being told to? ITZ JUST A BB GUN MANG IM NOTE PUTING IT DAWN.

pellet guns are for cigarettes anyways. use a real gun or none at all.
there are way to many toy guns nowadays.

Get the forget out Bisfack. Airsoft guns are a good alternative to sitting in a computer room playing games all day.

paintball is for real men. B)

Ironically, airsoft guns fire at least a hundred feet per second more. The diameter of the projectile may be smaller, but it still hurts like a bitch.

This is mainly directed at shadow

Okay, reading the article, I can see why the cops did what they did.

I don't know if anyone is aware but there is a 50 mile buffer zone on the texas side of the mexican border where it is just not safe. Drug cartel violence, human and drug trafficking, and a stuff load of other stuff that would get you shot goes down here. Brownsville, where this shooting happened, is near this area. These officers have most likely been trained not to take any stuff from anyone, which is exactly what they did.

Good work texas police, you're making me proud.

The gun actually looks real and I bet the cops didn't know it was a toy gun at that time.

Exactly

Need I say more?

Not going to lie, probably didn't help his case that he was mexican.
Need I say more?
forget you beat me to it

airsoft is gay as hell lol you cant even "play" with them short of target practice.
they exist to simply look realistic so dumb little boys can gun-gasm over them.

i respect paintball as you can actually shoot at each other. airsoft you have to wear all this gay armor, and like 99% of airsoft gun owners have never "played" it as a sport and never will.
cigarettes

why is it the fakest looking toy guns are the most fun? its nto a coincidence, the practical use of a toy gun cannot have it look realistic. but its not an issue because people who are enjoying a toy gun dont even care what it looks like.

Haha exactly what I was thinking

Then you must be deprived of knowledge. You realize most well made airsoft guns fire an average of 350 - 400 FPS. And as mentioned before, that is at least a hundred feet per second more than most paintball guns. And armor? What the forget are you talking about? You can go out in a sweatshirt and jeans for forgets sake. All you need is an ANSI rated safety goggles. Paintball you NEED a full face mask. And as a matter of fact, they have these things called FIELDS and you pay to go do objective based games with teammates who aren't jackstuff stupid. At least 50 players in one round.

Oh I see. You are the stupid kind of people who takes the view of airsoft as the guns with the see through receivers. Or the cheap crossman plastic guns that fire around 200 FPS.

That's not why.

The whole point of a gun is deadly force. If they had any intention of keeping him alive, they would use a taser.

What went through their minds is that if they gave the kid a chance to shoot them, he could go on to kill other children. It's the eighth grader's fault he was shot.
I wasn't saying it was their fault at all. It was definitely that kid's fault.
My point was they could have shot once and probably stopped this kid from shooting anyone in the school as they thought he would.
Even a gun can be used to incapacitate.

I agree.

Agreed, again.

I honestly think that airsoft guns, and to an extent paintball guns, should have no purpose in the hands of a minor or unregistered holder. Or at least have them only available in the ranges/fields/whatever they're called. Time and time again you hear that there was some sort of accident involving them, especially around where I live.

The police had every right to take action, assuming they aren't lying in that article. The person removed the safety cap and refused to listen when they said to drop it. Like someone said earlier, that area's law enforcement is trained to not take stuff.
