In the recent hubbub over SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act), there is a bill that has been relatively overlooked, and needs intense scrutiny by literally everyone. House resolution 1540 is, in short, a bill authorizing the US Government to detain indefinitely any American citizen deemed "a terrorist candidate", without trial or court, and able to be captured in or outside the United States. It seems like the focus was moved to SOPA in an attempt to get this glossed over, and either way, it seems to be working. Here are some links to some relavent sites, and the main bill:
