Author Topic: Grand Theft Auto IV - Can I run it?  (Read 839 times)

San andreas is getting repetitive. I'm planning on getting grand theft auto 4.

however i'm not sure if i can run it or not

i know it says it's 94 degrees celsius. that's obviously a lie because if it was, my computer would be on fire right now.

If you disable all models & physics you could swim in GTA IV with a nice n stable 7 fps.

Not necessarily, Sometimes my graphic card gets into the 90's and there's no flames. (Unless you're being sarcastic, If so inform me so I can send a support ticket to my detector's makers)

And if your computer actually idles at that temperature you might want to work on the airflow and cooling of your system.

are you sure you didn't misread that

that says celsius

CELSIUS

94 celsius = 201 fahrenheit

do you know how hot that is

When I play Just Cause 2, my GPU reaches temperatures of 106 degrees celsius or higher.

That's REALLY bad for your processor bro.
You seriously need to do something about it. Do you even have a heatsink on your processor? :|

No GPU, no matter how well cooled, is going to be 90 degrees F while playing a graphic intensive game.

i knew i should have edited out the temperature

off the subject of temperature will i be able to run gta 4 or not

I've heard that GTA 4 is very CPU reliant. Just throwing that out there.

You will not.
And if you try you'll probably fry your CPU in the process.

Also, why such slow DDR3? D:

my budget was 300 dollars.  :(
