How much does an average house usually cost in the LA area?

I know a rich family and they're actually pretty nice. :/

Having your own ipad and headphones does not mean you are rich. You are just poor.

I get some pretty expensive stuff, but I'm not an ungrateful friend.

If you have the money why not spend it on nice things? It'd be silly not to buy things!

The only way I count a child as spoilt if they brag about it pretty much.

it's not having the money that makes people hate them, it's when they flaunt it in everyone's face or act like douchebags.

when i was in highschool, some students drove really expensive german cars like starfishs (cutting off, blaring horn, taking up 2 spaces), so i keyed the stuff out of them.

I do get a lot of stuff but I work for it. I also appreciate the stuff I get and realize I'm lucky I have it.

I have no problem with rich kids / parents who waste all their money on their children, except for when they got to bring you down because you don't have "the stuff".
My grandparents are fairly wealthy and get me very nice things, but I don't gloat about it, mainly because no one gives a stuff that I've got a turntable and other assorted things that aren't mainstream.

I get nice things, but I appreciate them incredibly. I don't take it for granted. I'm possibly getting a new gaming laptop tomorrow as part of my christmas purchases, and I am so incredibly thankful that we can afford things like this for a child.

I live on an island nick-named "Rich rock".

It's pretty bad here. Everyone 12 year old girl's got lululemon's, an iphone 4s, and every sophomore drives to school in a lexus or nicer.

yeah but what's wrong with using an ipad and headphones at the hairdressers :o

Rich =/= spoiled.
They could have made the money on their own accord.
They could have actually deserved it, I mean I would give my kid an iPad if he did all the chores for a month. Why the hell not, that's awesome.
