Have you done anything before? Does it come naturally to you? Big factors, in my opinion. If yes, go for it! :D

But please, don't use the word swag in your rap songs  :c

I can rap acually pretty good. But takes practice. My voice sounds like Drake (who I hate) but alot lighter with a mix with a slight mix of CuDi.  But lighter because my balls are still busy droppin
Also. Im not black so i couldnt imagine me saying "monday or swagger"

Congrats critics say its the best. Obv was produced by lil wayne.

Your dream is to be a hiphoppity hip hopper rapper and you don't know what genre even? Also don't ask for a genre suggestion if you actually do want and can do this, that is something you need to find out on your own not have one of us tell you.

Kid CuDi is my idol. I wanted to see what the forum would say. Because I would probably stick to CuDi anyways.

I don't think anyone here can give you particularly reasonable advice, as only some of us have even gotten to that point of having a career (and I don't just mean a job, mind you).

However, all of us should be able to agree that 14 is a tad early to decide your life goal just yet. Focus on getting a stable career path first and make some decent money to support yourself and your dream. It takes a lot more than talent to break into the music industry, you need a large amount of luck to even get close to succeeding.

My advice would be to look at the things besides music that you're good at; practical, real world applicable skills you can focus your education on and get a job doing. Then, when you've made money, buy equipment and record some demo disks and get yourself noticed locally and then work your way up.

My answer, in tl;dr fashion is: yes, focus on your career, but not in something as far fetched as a rapper.

Yeh what Swolli said. Phallic symbols.

Having a big dream can seriously hinder you getting a realistic job - and those are tough to get nowadays. Don't set yourself too narrow a path for 'hiphop/rap', as it might not benefit you in the long run.

Because most 14-year-olds that want to be musicians when they grow up, end up being famous.

rap is a lot like poetry
only more corrosive and vulgar

Some rap is just as good as any conventional poetry.

Post a rap song of yours, then let us give advice.

Hey look it's a 14 year old friend.

And also unless you're really damn good even at this age, then forgetaboutit. Pursue something more sensible.
