Author Topic: Mermaidman and barnacleboy's Invisible Boat Mobile  (Read 4304 times)

I would like the invisible boat mobile that Mermaidman and Barnacleboy currently use to fight evil to be made into an add-on

Could anyone make this for me? (I would like it to go pretty fast)

So, just a regular invisible car then?

Yeah, but the model of the car would be sort of like a low rider, and I would like the car to go pretty fast.

Remind me again, how does this work?
Is it always invisible, or is like a normal car that can become invisible?

ALWAYS invisible...well there was that time when Patrick painted it black.

Well the model would be nothing to do, but you'd want some way for the owner of the vehicle to be able to locate it

Actually, the joke in the TV series was that they never could find it.

So, a vehicle that you can not locate.
Oh my god, blocking doors.

Well if it's invisible we don't even need a model. It could be just a simple rectangle with wheels.

You wouldn't need a visible model, no. You would need a set of mount points, a collision box, and invisible wheel models.

Yeah I remember that now.
I still think it would be a good idea, even if it's just admin only to counter griefing

How will you find an invisible car in Blockland?

shoot randomly until your bullets hit something you can't see

paint would work too

That's what I'm saying.
Getting on it immediately after spawning it, or if you see someone else in it, wouldn't be a problem.
The problem is if you get out of it and lose track of it.

That's far too time-consuming, no one would actually do that.
I was thinking a temporary emitter, or a temporary change of datablock
A on-screen indicator of direction/distance would be nice, but would require a clientside add-on to be any more specific than "To your left" or "behind you"
