In any case, many people have suggested this. But considering that I have never seen a Vietnam War server, I think it would be better to just have some vague, basic gunship.

he's not even talking about a gunship, it's just a huey. the gunship in the game is a hind.

A gunship is essentially a helicopter with guns on it. A Bell UH-1 gunship is a gunship because it has guns on it (and it's called a bloody gunship)

it's not that heavily armed like a hind which carries missiles that blow stuff up, whereas a huey is mostly used to provide troop transport and uses the guns just to defend itself in during this if it needs to

Yes, but it was still a gunship and could and would provide close air support for the troops it just dropped off.

It will be less fun when your aim is very restricted. And, a mounted gun, if collision isn't done right, will end up shooting the plane that it's mounted on.
It's also possible to mount other turrets such as the pirate cannon or tank turret onto vehicles, but it requires a console command.
So what I was thinking, we could create events to do this, and whenever the plane spawn, a tank turret and a mounted MG could be mounted onto the plane. Bushi's sentry mod could do this as well if you want to have automated guns. Bushido's sentry guns can mount to vehicles if you use a wand or something to push them into it.

Counter, the blackhawk we have does not have mount points for guns. The best that would remotely be possible is to have a bot turret, but you'd have to double mount it (vehicle in vehicle) resulting in infinite forget.
