...Where is this "Took the money and ran" bullstuff coming from? He's just busy. If it took him 2 years to make the game to the point it is now, what the hell do you expect for the speed of updates?

Anyone who actually believes it is stupid, plain and simple.

Look at any game, they aren't pumping out updates every week, and if an update does come out it's usually just a patch, but on top of this it's usually not 2 people, it's usually a group of people and that allows the work to be split equally.

I watched the Cube-World developmental process on Wollay's blog since 2011, and him and his wife really worked with such motivation to complete the game and they did. The game is just really buggy and glitchy now and they probably should of released it later and fix a lot of the major troubleshooting problems, glitching, and major bugs.

the game feels really empty right now

This game has become so moddable that it's sad, there's now a character editor in which you can edit inventory, pets, character, etc

same with minecraft and terraria etc etc

oh no someone is cheating in a game where no one is forcing me to play with them at all. better complain about it!!!

how come?

also i see the cube-world hype really went down drastically in the past 2 weeks, why is this all of a sudden?

Honestly, if the house system was just added i'd probably play for like 20 more hours just to make an awesome house to return to after long adventures.

Its just a Grind Game. No real quests yet.

it's an ALPHA you stupid forget

I find it funny when people dismiss things that are legit reasons to dislike a game.

I'm so tired of all these games coming out saying they're beta so that they can rake in extra money, Arma 3, Cube World, Payday 2, etc

They release a 'beta'/'alpa' that is almost the finished product, allow people to pay it for it right then and there, and sometimes even buy higher 'supporter' packages, then after they've cashed out on about as much money as they can make, they produce a really stuffty product.  They don't need anyone to buy the now stuffty product because they already milked the market from their alpha and beta sales.

If a game is good, there should be a FREE closed or open beta, not a loving pay to get in one.

This game is a prime example, don't tell me that Wollay and whatever are busy doing 'other' things, this game has made them more revenue than anything else, and to have an excuse for not making it their prime work is bullstuff, that's just flat out what it is.  If they do this tiny amount of work in ALPHA then I'd expect a retail bug fix every ten or so years.

Stop giving the devs excuses and make them earn the hundreds of thousands of dollars they've ALREADY made.

Agreed.

I bought this the week it was available, and i'm still waiting for them to fix the multiplayer server issues.
Really stuffty timing on their part. I know it's a two man (Well, man and woman) team. But, when you've made THIS much money off of an alpha, there is no excuse to not put more time into it.

I would be tempted to get a refund if I hadn't purchased this over a month ago. (Paypal refund policy for digital goods)

seriously, i don't like cube world the way it is right now and it being in "alpha state" really doesn't excuse that. if you know your game isn't good in alpha state, don't release it in alpha state. it's no excuse.

if i could get a refund i would most certainly get one.

The game should of been released later then and all of the bugs and glitches which get into your way of actually playing the whole thing should of been fixed.

Developers do this alpha and beta stage for their games so they can double the money coming in just like Minecraft did. It is just a scheme.

Or because everyone was yelling at him to hurry up and release it after two years of trying to get it right even though it'd been said/understood that it wasn't considered ready and lots of features were temporarily removed to be reworked. Money is nice, though. I don't get how it'd 'double' the money if they're offering it at a lowered price and it just means that it'd been available for longer. I guess you mean 'get the money coming in earlier'?

Even before the alpha was released, Wollay would go on hiatus forever. He is probably working hard on the game, but just isn't communicating.

He could of told everyone waiting to buy the game that development will be delayed. I know he didn't wanna disappoint anyone, but still. It was his choice to release it early, but he may of been enticed to release it earlier because of the people wanting to buy it so much.
