Only Vault dwellers have pip boys. (Though in Fallout NV you get given one as you are not a vault dweller).
It would probably be some sort of paintball chalk pellet thingy. Healing items would be cleaning kits and whatnot.

Honestly, I'm the first person who would join a STALKER LARP, I loving love the STALKER series of games, and I'd also love to read the books however I've never been able to find somewhere selling copies of them, but it's literally impossible, even if only due to the location
