Getting a new handgun.

Should I get it in 25. ACP or 22. Long rifle? Both cost the same.

25. ACP is a centerfire, so it is more reliable. But it is harder to come by and more expensive, it weighs more than 22. LR too.
22. Long rifle is a rim fire, so it less reliable, but is easier to come by and less expensive, it is light weight and does not have as much fire power.

it takes at least one bullet to take someone down in case of something like that ever happens to you, and i'm guessing you want that one bullet to actually fire and hit that person, so you should probably get .25.

i know you're not going to go around showing off a gun and getting into fights so you can shoot people, but just saying.

I have to be 21 to carry this around concealed, and I think 18 to Have it unconcealed. This is for target practice and plinking only, also it takes about four shots from a 22. in the chest to kill someone, and 2 from a 25. ACP from my estimate, so for self defense I would step up to 380. ACP or 9mm.
