Fun fact: After cocaine was controlled, it was legal to sell with a permit for a long time in the U.S.
Not a single permit was ever granted to anyone.
Grats Headcrab you're the first person I've ever met to use the economy argument without being a pothead. So at least
one vote for that is valid. :p
For my part, if we could somehow choose between legal marijuana and a utopian complete absence of marijuana even illegally - if we could somehow choose between "many people use this substance that makes them mellow" and "nobody uses this substance that makes them mellow", I think we know which one would be better for the economy. Mellow people don't work as hard, nor do they want things as badly which they don't have. I know that such a compeltely hypothetical choice is a little removed from practical discussions so don't feel as if you need to actually type out your rebuttals about how people are going to do it anyway etc. etc... it's just something to mull over when you're considering the effects it has on society, even if you don't believe that it forgets up your brain.
