I'm fairly certain that you can dump emulators onto R4's and run roms off them.
I used an NES emulator on one once, worked fine

I remember super mario advance 4.

The GBA is one of the hardest to emulate apparently, but the DStwo has a built in gba emulator.

Does anyone remember the pokemon slider for gba? You would plug in this card slider into the game cartridge slot and slide special Pokemon cards that showed up in game.

You can download a DS emulator which supports the GBA slot on the original DS, such as No$GBA, as long as you don't use it for DS roms it should work fine

But what I meant was emulating GBA games from the cards themselves, not on the computer.

Yeah, you could run no$GBA from an R4

Technically you can run most emulators from R4's, of course there's no way a DS could handle a DS emulator since even computers have some problems with them, the GBA emulator that's built into no$GBA should run fine though and the button configuration would be compatible with the DS's button layout
