Author Topic: Lotro- Lord of the rings online Megatopic  (Read 1604 times)

I searched for a few minutes and I saw a few topics on lotro (that were 1.5+ years old,) but no megatopics. So I thought I'd start one.
And maybe list BL Players who Play the game.

Blockland name: Mysteroo

I play it from time to time. 62 guardian.

Here's some 10 pages of screenshots my Dad and I have collected over the years.

What you may not know
  • If you put on a mask, and then a hooded cloak, (or just some glitched head gear) your appearance will glitch and you will have no beard. -Because of this glitch I have one costume for my Dwarf, that makes me look like I'm just a short old man.
  • you can do a lot of emotes while you move- like /groundroll or /fishslap. (In case you don't get it, you normally can't emote while in motion.)
  • The Thorins Hall Reputation Goat has glitched animations, if your a Hobbit or a Dwarf, the goat will play the Elf/Man goat animation instead of the right one. Normally Elves/Men have steeds that look as though they are trotting, due to being taller. Dwarves and Hobbits have steeds that look to be running. But the Thorins Hall Reputation Goat looks like it's trotting as well, even if your a shorter race.

Also, here's my entry into the white hand of Saruman contest, wish I won :c

If anybody else plays Lotro please tell me! (and post your Main's character signature if you like) I'm always looking for something to do. As you can see I'm a 75 cappy, atm I'm just trying to do things like rank in the moors, to get better armor. And as you can also see, I've run out of ideas for things to put in this topic.. if you have any suggestions please do tell.

It's not installing? I have a friend who apparenty has been having the same problem.. But I think his issue is that he doesn't have 10-12 15 gigs of free space on his computer, lol

Yeah, it's just not installing. The downloader crashes randomly, and it can never finish.

I tried to play this like a year ago and the installer wouldnt even start

Just a guess, but it could also be because your computer doesn't meet the requirements. Lotro needs some descent Ram, and graphics card. Maybe if the pc doesn't meet the requirements it just won't try to install?

It would still install and again it would be my second time installing.

I've played before then uninstalled because it was over 10GB and I hadn't played it much anyways.

I imagine it's probably something to do with the pando-thingamajigger Lotro makes you download, it doesn't work with some computers.

Anyways, is there any other BL users who play Lotro? Preferably who play on Firefoot? lol

LOTRO nerds?
Pfft. They are inferior in every way to boring old LOTR nerds.

Played it for a while, but got bored after a while  while seeing that to get any major enjoyment you have to pay

Weird, Pando works on bloody everything except LOTRO. :(

books > game definitely yes

I would love to play this. However, with my stufftastic internet, it would take around 10 hours to download.

This game was crappy since the start and it's only gone downhill since it went pay-to-win

You do not "pay to win.."
The only "armor" you can get with tp- what you can pay for, is very low level armor I doubt anyone will buy. The Stats you can buy are barley helpful. All else seems to just be helpful- but completely uneeded stuff.
As for it being "crappy," how so? The graphics are awesome compared to a lot of other mmo's, the storyline is great, there's tons to do, ect. I don't so what's so bad about it. Why do you have to look at things so negatively?  :P
