Author Topic: What happens when you die?  (Read 4250 times)

I came up with a theory which utilizes the multiuniverse theory to make it so that from your perspective you will never die. Basically, whatever causes you to die becomes a point from which an alternate universe where you didn't die is created. Your memory and everything else will carry on in that world while in the other universe you have died and it continues to move on. I don't really believe this but I do consider it entirely possible.

I don't really believe in anything nor the lack of anything for that matter. I can say however that I don't want there to be an afterlife. I want to live life without fear of eternal consequences. Unless I was guaranteed eternal life in my own personal paradise I don't want an afterlife.

This is a concept I choose not to think about. It would be neat to live in a permanent dream state, but that would be kind of scary. Would you even realize you're dreaming, or would it just be like an actual dream where you have no idea wtf is happening so you just watch? Heaven would be really cool, I would definitely prefer that option. Reincarnation makes sense to me, but it's also kind of scary to know you've lived countless lives and are going to live more, all without remembering any of it. Are you really yourself if you don't remember anything? And what's the point of doing what you're doing right now if in the future you're just going to be another person with no memory of any of this?

So yeah it's an unnerving concept to me. I am excited to reach final understanding of what happens after death, but it's just ... something I prefer not to think about.

I hope it isn't a violet light and a low hum as Vonnegut described it.

This topic humaans will never know. I can't wrap my head around it. I'm not religious, so, my thought is firs't it'd be black or white, for the while your brains shutting down. And fter your brain is dead. I'm not sure...

Theories:
1. You are forever in your dreams.
2. Your a reborn as a new being.
3. You become a part of the universe.
4. You continue to live on Heaven. - (My theory)
I like that theory. c:

Why must we believe that we will last forever?
Is it such a horrible thing to accept the possibility of your existence being in your brain? What if when you die you are just gone?
that's why it's so scary, we don't know.

What I think is this:
When you die, absolutely nothing happens.  Since all of your memories are inside your brain and your brain is what causes you to realize and think about things.  Without your brain, you cannot think about ANYTHING, thus resulting in absolutely nothing.  Death itself is the sheer definition of nothingness.

I seriously ponder this. . . I would think it's something beyond with what anyone can comprehend...

Yes

I believe that when you die, your physical body dies but your spiritual body continues to live on either in Hell or Heaven. Or in Minecraft terms, if you grief someone's house you go to the nether forever, but if you help others out and never give up on good things or rage quit from creepers blowing up all your diamonds you go to the biome of eternal awesomeness.
 :cookieMonster:

When you die you wake up from a dream, and then when your lifetime ends after waking up from that dream, you wake up from the next dream.
Life is a dream within a dream within a dream.

Dreamception!

Your body is infused with the world, energy is never destroyed, it is transferred. So technically when you die, your heat is radiating from your body into the wind, your body is absorbed by nature/trees/soil(If you were not buried, coffined, etc.), when it is absorbed by the trees, it is given off into the air, which is in turn inhaled by other people, the people who last touched you absorbed a good amount of heat... So when they touched other people their heat was absorbed, the heat is not always retained so it is given off into the air as well and the ground, etc. I think it's pretty cool that humans are like computers, they generate enough heat to make some eggs and bacon for breakfast.

Your genes are also given to your children, so half of you l"ives" on with in them along with other genes. Ever heard of the term, "You're just like your mother/father" that's because of heredity. So in that, they "live" on with in you.

So yes, everyone who has died is with us. What you take from nature, you must give back, the energy is not yours to keep.

This is not spiritual, I'm just talking about what happens to your energy, genes, body, etc.

From a spiritual stand point, you go to some sanctum which is defined by your religious beliefs or personal beliefs. All religion is based upon a reward and consequence system. So you either go to the Dark or Light side or in between.

Straight up what happens after death is... You cease to exist, your neurons rot and die like other cells so there is no possible way for that conscience to be transferred to another person or living thing.

Yes, I took this seriously.
