Cats are much cleaner. Whenever I pet a dog, I feel the terrible need to wash my hands. Dogs are good if you like to go outside, but cats will curl up with you when you play a game or watch a movie.

Dogs: They are a companion. They can be cute, and they run around alot.
Cats:  They are cute, they are lazy and sleep nearly all day but i still like them.

your experience with cats is not the universal standard for all animals
cats clean themselves, dogs do not, you have to bathe them, and not being responsible enough to do so will cause them to get dirty
