Author Topic: [SEMI-50x40] TRILOS IV - SPACE? YOU TELL ME [ACT 1]  (Read 44850 times)

i'm noticing that you're kinda giving away things we should find out for ourselves.
they aren't actually related, i just call the other one his "relative" since we never named him and people will have an idea of who i'm talking about
the only way they'd be related is their mental disorder

You walk up to the door and are happy it automatically opens for you. After looking left and right down the hall, you casually walk out of the storage room and turn left.

You like the way these walls look. They're all shiny and you can sort of see yourself in them. You consider stopping to admire your reflection, but you figure the other robots wouldn't do that.

You're about to make a turn when you hear a robotic voice behind you telling you to stop. Turning around, you see what looks like you walking towards you.

"Don't you know you're supposed to be in the assembly room?" it says to you, grabbing your arm.

"Er, shouldn't you be in there, too...?"

The other robot lets go of you and folds it's arms. "I was sent to make sure everyone was where they were supposed to be," it replies. "Get moving."

Okay, this could be a problem. You don't know where to go.

Well?

walk off in a direction and hope its the right way. hopefully he'll correct you if you're wrong

i was thinking about claiming memory chip issues but that would just result in bot being sent somewhere we don't want him to go

"Okay then," you reply, walking in the direction he came from. Surely this is the right way, right?

You can sense that he's watching your every move, so you try to keep acting normal. You pick a random direction- left- and hope it's the right way. You're met with the harsh response of, "Are your circuits fried or are you just playing dumb? It's the other way."

You turn back on the right path, but the other robot grabs your arm firmly. "I'll just escort you myself," he sighs. "I've wasted enough time baby-sitting you."

Okay, so these guys aren't really friendly to their own kind. Okay then. The other guy half drags you down the hall. You spot a rather deadly looking gun that appears to be fused to his back. That could be useful in the future, you think.

Actually, you might be able to kill this guy right here and steal his gun. You might be considered suspicious without one. You probably don't even have to attend the assembly...

"Quit you're dreaming, we're almost there."

You snap back to attention and he lets go of you in front of a massive door labeled "ASSEMBLY." Well, you guess this is it.

What will you do?

so who dies

ASSEMBLY DOESNT SEEM SUSPICIOUS AT ALL

Walk into the door, but text Axio about what's happening, see if she can relay any useful info about whether or not you're about to get raped by cables.

if its the former don't text and just go into graphics

but in all seriousness, alert her to where you're going and walk in. Hopefully you can spot other similar robots and just copy them. This is assuming there's an empty space for you to work in.

If there isn't, and guards aren't around, kill the guard and take the gun or something. If there are guards, just follow placidly.

you're about to get raped by cables.
i'm sure you would enjoy that :cookieMonster:

The only guard around is the guy right next to you, so let's just kill him.

"Hey, we don't have all cy-" The other robot is cut off as you drive your conveniently sharp fingers into the power unit on his chest. He collapses silently to the ground. You would laugh, but now isn't the time for that. Instead, you just steal his gun and drop him in one of the nearby storage room.

You put the gun on your back and feel you armor plates merge with it. Well, this feels nice.

You decide it would be best to let your buddy know where you're going, so you send Ciricad a quick message that you're about to enter the assembly hall or whatever. She doesn't respond but you assume she got your message.

Well, better now than never before someone shoots you. You walk quietly into the assembly area and get met with a surprising sight.

You find yourself in a massive room full of robots who look almost exactly like you. You're confused as to where to go, but someone signals you over and you walk over to him.

"Aren't you late?" he asks in a hushed voice.

"I got lost," you reply as you fall into line with the others.

The speaker seems to be rambling on about some military stuff. Quite frankly, you'd rather be thinking about furniture than listening to this guy.

Ciricad messages you back with a status update and asks you to give her a real-time audio-visual feed, so you do so. She'll pay more attention to this stuff than you will, after all.

What now?

Sit pritty, switch to Axi. Understand what's going on.

i'm sure you would enjoy that :cookieMonster:

You know I would~

Bot: Follow what the guy/robot/cable rapist next to you is doing

Axio: Pay attention, and get Navaro or Stojanow to make sure nobody's coming, unless you guys are in a secure room and stuff

Bot: just blend in and try to ask whispered questions without getting noticed. Be careful to not reveal your gun.

Other team: whatever

Be careful to not reveal your gun.
You would be careful with that if you weren't a military robot surrounded by other military robots who happen to be armed with guns. You just copy everything the others are doing: odd salutes, moving, and all that.

You're really impressed, actually. If it weren't for the little timer on you HUD telling you how long is left until you have to leave, you'd almost think this whole thing was real.

You follow your *temporary* group out the doors you came from. Only a few out of the eight notice you, but they don't seem to really care. You assume they see having an extra person as help.

"Hey, what happened to CEV-4478?" one of them asks suddenly, stopping. "He went out to check that everyone was attending but he hasn't come back yet."

"You know how big this station is, EVR. It's entirely possible that he got lost or something," another replies.

EVR folds his arms. "Highly unlikely. He's been here for months, surely he'd know his way around or something." He makes what sounds like a sigh. "Hey, maybe he got caught up in that intruder stuff and got K-I-A," he suggests.

The other bot shrugs. "Either way, it's none of our business. He's been replaced; he doesn't matter anymore." With that, the group starts moving again.

You next find yourself in what looks like a medical place. What, do these guys need to have check-ups or something?

"Hey, Bot. We've found what looks like a Kkryonitte storage area," you hear Ciricad tell you over the communicator. "Where are you?"

You glance around before replying in text, "I'M IN SOME KIND OF MEDICAL AREA."

"Alright, you're probably close to us. The medical wing is close to the KPF. After all, everything here runs on Kkryonitte."

What now?

Well, head over there. Bot, try to stall and avoid detection (Protoss cannons, overlords, the sort) as long as possible.

Also, what's the goal of this invasion? Recon?

basically to get the feel of what you'll be up against
after all, this is just a training mission.
since we don't know the exact location of anything on the shy'ryx station, most of this stuff is guesswork.

bot's job in the actual mission will be to locate the KPF so that the standby team can head in and destroy it.

As soon as the group seems busy, you slip away and lock on to Ciricad's location. After a bit of wandering, you find yourself at yet another large door. This time it's heavily guarded.

"Hey, shouldn't you be with your squad?" one of the guards asks, blocking the way. "And where's your clearance?"

uh.

We really should have looted the last body for more information.

Stall until the rest of the robots enter, then take out the questioner silently. Hopefully he'll be the only one staying back to ask about stuff.

You don't think any of these guys are going to be moving any time soon.
