I would advise leaving the place
As you're probably going to die if you remain

You begin feeling uneasy about the place and turn to leave. Just as you begin walking towards the door, you feel something sharp hit you in the back of the neck. The entire room tilts and you lose your balance, causing you to collapse onto the cool tile floors. Everything starts to go dark, but not before you catch a glimpse of two green eyes approaching you.

>NAME RECOGNIZED [ALAN FRANK]

You're sitting in the skyway, towards the back where it isn't quite as noisy. You were hoping to see Darreth somewhere in the crowd, but he hasn't shown up yet. You assume that he got caught up in a crowd somewhere. He'll turn up eventually, you assure yourself.

That aside, you can hear your tram pulling in to your left, followed by a buzzing sound as the brakes kick in. You step inside the brightly lit tram as the wide doors slide open and manage to grab a seat right next to the door. Leaning back, you watch the mess of people pour into the small space around you.

After a few minutes of this, the doors shut with a click and the tram eases into motion, taking you up the slope that leads to the main skyway track. The whole system is like a giant magnet-power rollercoaster in the sky, and the heights can get pretty dizzying. Despite that, it's an effective mode of travel for those who don't have a better way of getting around the massive city.

After maybe half an hour of watching the shining buildings below you, you're plunged back into the dim passages of one of the skyway stations. The buzzing sound from earlier starts up again and you can feel the tram come to a halt.

The busy activity of the commuters onboard starts up again as the glass-like doors open. You grab your backpack and squeeze through the crowd, carefully navigating out of the crammed station.

You stop outside of the station entrance and pull out your phone, first checking the time and then giving Darreth a call. After several rings with no answer, you're given a prompt to leave voicemail for him. Odd, he almost always picks up.

Nevertheless, you leave him a message saying that you're almost home and that you'll have everything ready by the time he arrives.

Unfortunately, after about an hour of waiting at your house, he never shows up.

>PROLOGUE END

"What's his status?"

"He seems pretty stable, but it'll be a while until he adjusts to it."

"What's your estimate?"

"Maybe two weeks to a month, at best."

"That's actually pretty good, come to think of it."

"Look, he's coming to now."

You open your eyes and see a large circular light set into a high metal ceiling. The air smells clean and filtered, like what you'd find in a high-quality hospital of some sort. Everything looks blurry and the room appears to be spinning. There's also an ache in your head, as if someone hit you in the head with a hammer and then tied your neck into a knot.

Everything in your body feel sharp and unnatural. There's a cold feeling that shouldn't be there, but you can't seem to place it. It's as if everything inside of you had been taken out and replaced with something else; as if you had been turned into some kind of cyborg.

"Good afternoon," a woman wearing white-framed glasses says in a surprisingly soothing voice. You don't think you remember her- actually, come to think of it, you don't remember anything at all. All you know is that you woke up here.

You open your mouth to speak, but nothing comes out. Your throat hurts a great deal, though.

"Your vocal systems haven't been configured yet, but we'll take care of that soon. In the meantime, you should work on getting used to everything. You know, moving around, carrying things- everyday things like that," she says.

You push yourself into a sitting position, which also brings on incredible pain. You notice a man dressed in blue sitting on one of the medical tables to your left, but it looks like he's just watching. He has straight, vertical black lines coming from under his eyes and glowing blue eyes that don't seem to reflect any emotion. You don't think you know him, either.

"Don't him," the woman with the glasses says. "He just came to see how you were doing. By the way, I'm Hemias Besidras, the head medical officer on this station. You'll be visiting me at least twice a day for the next few days, or until you're accustomed to yourself."

You give her a slight nod and glance around. The room is rather large, full of computers, beds, and various machines.

What will you do?

Ask questions regarding how you got here and why you don't remember anything

You would ask about all that, but at the moment you're incapable of speech.

Look at your own body parts

Then go on a rampage like in avatar

You take a look at yourself. You seem to be normal, however that's determined. You look pretty human, to put it simply, even though you don't exactly feel that way.

You're dressed in a plain white long-sleeve shirt and plain white pants. You're wearing something like socks on your feet and fingerless gloves on your hands.

''We were going to leave your color scheme up to you, in case you're wondering why everything is white,'' Hemias explains, gently pushing up her glasses.

The idea of going on a rampage pops up in your head, but to be honest, you're in too much pain to even consider standing up.

Tap your arms/hands and see if it sounds metallic.

Then lay back down and go to sleep or something

You gently roll up your sleeve a bit and tap your arm. It feels cold to you, and maybe slightly metallic.

You decide it would be best to get some rest and hope you hurt less in the morning or something like that. Carefully laying back, you close your eyes and drift off.

i should also go to bed or something

You open your eyes again and see that you're still in the medical room, but you seem to be alone. You're also hurting less and you feel like you might be able to move around a bit more than before.

Proceed to move around a bit more than before

Get up and describe surroundings

You get up an look around a bit.

You're in a large, brightly lit room with large circular lights set into the high ceiling. The walls and ceiling appear to be made of some kind of near-white metal while the floor is covered in large white and grey tiles.

There are three rows of medical beds, with each row consisting of maybe ten beds. There are small computers next to each one along with tables full of medical tools. Your bed seems to be the only one in use.

Far to your right are two large metal doors which more than likely automatically open when approached.

Next to your bed is a table with some tools that don't seems to be on any of the other tables. The computer you're hooked up to is monitoring various things in a language that you barely understand. There's also a strange black band with a medium white flat crystal set into it sitting on the table. Actually, it doesn't look much like a crystal, more like a tiny display panel. It looks like you might be able to wear it. You think you recall Hemias wearing one, you aren't sure about the other guy since he was wearing a scarf.

Go wear it because that's not a dumb idea that could possibly result in you dying under any circumstances.
