I was telling you to go back to FPS. Mainly CoD, where you don't have to guess what to do, all you have to do is play one of the other games and your good. Seriously, Fallout is meant to be learned, not known when you start. You have to learn where to find guns, what guns work best for you, do you want power armor or light armor, do you like sneaking up and killing with melee or do you like going in with a chaingun or rocket launcher. You not supposed to understand it completely as soon as you play it.

Jeez I know,

If you took the comment seriously, you're stupid.

Im simply mentioning that its kinda overwhelming with all this stuff to do.

That's the point.
It's supposed to teach you a lot.
You kinda have to.

Hey if you want a sniper rifle theres a rock behind Megaton with a couple of rounds.

Also the sniper in minefield has the same rifle and even more rounds for it, and the best part about minefield is that you can grab all the mines and sell them for tons of caps.

Hope this helps a bit.

Yes yes I need caps thanks.

Right now Im on my way to the Ghost radio station or whatever.
I was fighting some raiders and I couldnt kill the guy with the minigun or whatever because he was across the river :I
So I lost a bunch of health and ended up accidently shooting one of the protection robots and it attacked and killed me

Try doing some of these things:
1. Turn difficulty to easy
2. Dont attack if its not an enemy, and try to be friendly at first. it  gets you places. i suggest upgrading speech and barter, but dont let repair or sneak fall to far behind. first perk: conformed batchler/lady killer/child at heart. I can't remember most of the perks from 3.
3. if you die, keep track of where you die, and why. Then find out a way to avoid that path/approach it differently, maybe go back to a town to buy medical supplies.
4. if all else fails, do some side quest, kill around, level up, repair guns and armor. go back to that spot later when your ready.

Heres the solution to that, get some grenades, see if you can't get him with them, then use your strongest ranged weapon and go for the arms, or hit the mini gun itself. And watch where you aim, use vats, a lot.

I know I do but
I ALWAYS RUN OUT OF AMMO OR I GET CRIPPLED AND I DONT HAVE ANYTHING AND I FORGET TO SAVE AND I DIE
Forgetting to save is a bane for a lot of people. you either learn to do it, or continue to suffer. I feel no pitty or remorse for your  lack of foresight in the game.

>Take three steps
>F5
>Go down corridoor
>Get killed the moment you open the door

And that is why you need to metaphorically pound the F5 button till it's ass is red and sore.

The start of Fallout 3 is probably the best part because of the whole scavenging for weapons and ammo and stuff.

and then there was the part where another game came along cough

It took me six hours of vats "run, target, shoot, retreat" to live through the beginning of fallout three. Just be patient.

-Crouch for more accuracy, stay far away. Crouch+Vats makes for really good accuracy.[/li][/list]
-The assault rifle is less powerful than the chinese assault rifle, but more reliable.
-The chinese pistol is more reliable, yet less damaging than the 10mm colt autoloader.
-10mm SMG sucks unless you have no other guns.
-Just explore randomly and you will find very good loot.
-Do Moira Brown's wasteland survival test and you will get good items fast.
-Or get some minigun-nuke mod or whatever if your that desperate
-Don't bomb megaton. You are missing out on alot of good money-earning quests.
-Hide behind cover, always.
-If you can't hide behind cover, circle your enemy.
-Take advantage of trees for cover. They are better cover than you think.
-If someone is armed with a rifle, it is better to hide than run.
-If someone is armed with a pistol, running away is a good tactic since the pistols aren't as accurate.
-.32 pistol sucks
-Always keep a baseball bat on hand
-Sleeping is the best way to restore health
-The rock-it launcher is not that effective. It is, however, excellent once you run out of ammo.
-Play the original Fallout and Fallout 2 before 3
-There is no bullet entry
-A super mutant armed with a minigun will have a hard time shooting you while you are circling them
-You run slower when you are using a 2-handed gun (such as a rifle or shotgun)
-Shotguns are more accurate than you might think
-The 10mm pistol is rather accurate for a pistol
-When shopping at megaton, sell your items to the caravan guys as they have more caps to barter
-You can pickpocket a grenade, frag mine or any other explosive into people's inventory to make them explode. This is called the shady sands shuffle
