I sad atheists believe there isn't, you said atheists don't believe there is.

Isn't that the same thing?

Lack of belief is just not assuming deities exist, whereas believing no deities exist is an assertion. I cannot assert that unicorns do not exist but I can say I do not assume that they do.

The problem with your argument is that you seem to be confusing belief with knowing.

Christians are not Christian because they know there is a god of Christians. Atheists are not atheists because they know there is not a god of anybody. These people believe these things to be true. Christians believe in God because of faith. Atheists do not believe in god because they don't have any reason to believe in the existence of a god. Atheists would admit that it is possible that some sort of god like figure could exist and just hasn't made itself known for whatever reason, which seems to be where you believe there is a paradox -- but there isn't one really.

And in fact, this goes in line with your argument based on the dictionary. Atheist is the word we give to people who do not follow any particular god because they have no evidence that suggests they should. Atheist is the right word because that's the word we invented to describe these people. Agnostic is the wrong word because we invented that word to describe a different group of people.

If god is divine and caring and he can do anything why does he not prevent terror?
If he does not, he is not loving or caring.
If he can't he is not divine.
If he is neither one of these why worship him?

I really don't know why people worship him, I should name myself God and  people shall worship me, I mean really it's the same thing. So my argument is that both are false to a certain extent, it's a matter of how you want to live.
I choose to live without dumb rules like "You can't lust over a woman, it is sin" I mean seriously? You can't help it, you can deny that you felt lust, but you can't control it.

Wedge, I sincerely admire your tell it like it is attitude toward things.

If god is divine and caring and he can do anything why does he not prevent terror?
he can, but we already broke His rules after he warned us

If he does not, he is not loving or caring.
i don't see how this applies, you can love a family member if they're in jail

If he can't he is not divine.
he can, but we already broke His rules after he warned us

It blows my mind that people actually believe this garbage.

If god is divine and caring and he can do anything why does he not prevent terror?
divinity cannot exist without terror
just like light and shadow
or why god did not destroy lucifer

also, why isn't op perma banned yet

I'm just going to say this. The Bible was written by a bunch of men some hundred years ago. I don't believe a thing in it.

It blows my mind that people actually believe this garbage.

None of the people that wrote the Bible were actually there. They got there information from a bunch of stories passed down for who knows how long. It's like playing the telephone game, the message get's repeated so much it looses it's original meaning.

it blows my mind that you just dismiss it instead of even making an attempt to respond

I dismiss it because it makes no sense.
