I remember having some cards and stuff
The past was something else...

Every turn you draw two cards from your deck. No, one card. You start the game with five.

Your monsters attack is used to destroy others. When an enemy monster is in attack position and weaker, it gets destroyed and the left over damage drains your opponents life force. When your attack is weaker, you lose your monster and it is sent to the graveyard.

When an enemy is in defence mode, if you destroy it, your enemy does not take any damage. Same happens as before if you have a weaker monster. You're monster doesn't get destroyed if the defence is higher, actually.

Placing monsters face down is best used for weak monsters, so the enemy might be worried it's a powerful monster, causing them to lose there attacking monsters.

Players start with 4000 life points. It differs, some people use original rules with 2000 and some use tournament rules that go with 8000.

Trap cards have to be placed on the field before used, preferably face down. Some can destroy the enemies monster or other effects. Not if they are quick traps, and they HAVE to be placed facedown.

Spell cards can be used the same way as trap cards, but can also be used straight from your hand with features like restoring life points, adding attack/defence or even reshuffling the enemies deck or hand. They don't have to be placed facedown (unless you're not ready to activate it, in which case it must.)

You also didn't mention fusion cards. :cookieMonster:

Every turn you draw two cards from your deck. You start the game with five. You start with 5, draw one per turn, 7 is the max. If you have more than 7 at the end of your turn you have to discard.

Your monsters attack is used to destroy others. When an enemy monster is in attack position and weaker, it gets destroyed and the left over damage drains your opponents life force. When your attack is weaker, you lose your monster and it is sent to the graveyard. If you attack a higher-ATK monster YOU will take dmg equal to the difference.

When an enemy is in defence mode, if you destroy it, your enemy does not take any damage. Same happens as before if you have a weaker monster.

Spells cannot be used during your opponent's turn, unless they are quick-play, in which you would have to set them.
Current rules. I stopped playing a year ago, I still have my cards, might play again some day.

We play at 50000 points
our games were more intense than grass growing

Tried something like that once.
Super boring.

Max cards are six, actually.
Start with five.
You attack a higher defence monster, you take damage equal to the def of the defending monster minus the attack of your attacking monster.
My friend literally has a duel disk.
And I say, "You guys seriously wonder why people hate you?"

it's actually not boring
here was the situation
me 600/50000 guy 12500/50000

On his field is a lone Blue Eyes and two magic cards, neither important, and no cards in his hand.

He attacks a face down Witch of the Dark Forest, I put Lord of D. into my hand, as it's effect allows me to draw a monster with a defense lower than 1500.

In my hand I have been stalling and stockpiling Vorse Raider, Blue Eyes, Tyrant Dragon, double summon, change of heart, and that nuzzler thing equip card. The next draw I get flute of the summoning dragon.

To change the entire game and win, I used double summon to summon Lord of D. (1200) and Vorse Raider. (1900) With flute of the summoning dragon, I can summon Blue Eyes (3000) and Tyrant Dragon. (2900) Change of Heart brings his Blue Eyes to my side of the field, and I used that nuzzler equip card to Blue Eyes (now 3700) for a whopping total of 12700 damage to his life points.

My friend adam had one. He used it on the ground because it had an LP count. But he stopped because it damaged the cards.

I have a pretty good Watt deck. Focuses on getting the two best batterymen out, along with some other extras, then synchro for mist wurm. From that point they are screwed.
I don't understand how some people build such great decks. I have no guidelines to go on besides 40-45 cards and half monsters, 1 quarter spell 1 quarter trap.

I have a Mokey Mokey deck that summons Mokey Mokey king, destroys him with cannon soldier (inflicts 500 to opponent by tributing monster) which summons three mokeys. Tribute them, use refusion/monster reborn to get mokey mokey king back, repeat.
It does 2000 per round of mokey tributes. All the while I have gravity bind and def monsters to protect me otherwise.

suddenly, nostalgia.
maybe i will play later.

>Would love to own Black Luster: Envoy of the Beginning and Chaos Emperor Dragon: Envoy of the End to go with my chaos deck.
>Have no money.
;-;

i do not like the idea of synchro or ZYX because it seems to be a simple middle finger to ritual and fusion monsters

Synchro I accepted.
It wasn't too bad.

Exceeds, that kinda went too far.

Max cards are six, actually. You can have any amount actually, it's just at the end phase of your turn you always have to discard to six unless unlimited cards is on the field.

My friend literally has a duel disk. So do I.

I have recently started collected Yu-Gi-Oh cards again, and currently have 463 in my binder. I used to love it so much as a kid, I even have that one dueling thing you put on your arm somewhere.

Synchros sucked in the beginning because it was hell to fight against them if you didn't have any. forget buying cards. Near the end it was okay, when everyone miraculously had some.
