I had this 2 in one game, and that was why they canceled this game they were working on. Twisted metal: Harbor city. (plane crash)

Vigilante 8 Arcade (Attempt at revival on Xbox) is pretty bad though... Literally no one plays it, you can't get online achievements now.

Vigilante 8 was part of my childhood, I only heard about Twisted Metal a year or two ago. And at that point I thought it was a ripoff of Vigilante 8. Of course, I checked the dates, I know it's the other way around now. But still...

Old games creeped me out, though. It was always either awkward silence or unfitting tunes. The limitations of gaming back then lent to a different kind of fear you simply can't create anymore. Even if you built a game like this, made it in a way which forced you to have the limitations which make it scary, it just wouldn't be the same.

My point: In Vigilante 8, I'd be driving around an almost silent landscape until a random AI vehicle hellbent on killing me suddenly appears out of nowhere and rams the forget out of me.

The old games are cartoonish while Twisted Metal Black and this game are much more creepy and darker.
