my mom and dad have a few really old boards out in the garage. the main one i used to use was a big yellow plastic one called "atomic." amazingly, i never hurt myself in the short time i tried skateboarding.

it takes a lot of practice to get going. my main problem was trying to turn without feeling like i was going to fall and die.
