Yes, I meant in the government. Religion has its place in society, but that place is not fostering truth or influencing government decisions.
Religion lays the base of most peoples lives. This being said, this base does influence perspective and opinion of the structure it is built on. People with governmental positions of authority are heavily/lightly influenced by religion on a variety of levels, so as life experiences, education, and public endorsement of a message. This doesn't mean though, that a political figure should use this more than truth and fact.
I just wanted to make this clear, I don't support anything at the moment, I just found this comment to be a bit of a misunderstanding..?
