I'm also sure some user will go and find some possible way to bring in interiors and terrains
Yeah, cause you can totally just force the engine to accept a file that it cannot support at all.

It would be like trying to open a .exe with MS Paint.

Try to ski in it.  Oh, and try to drive a jeep up those bricks.

I want to know how the vehicles, items, and player models look.

We can have underground caves now if the map is made entirely of bricks, right?

Yes. Yes we can. And Concave map features.

Of course, just like we could always do with bricks.

You could always do this....

yea that's why i seriously love my idea. having the dynamic "chunks" thrown in to have an oasis in a desert terrain would be so cool.

I wonder what lights in the dark will look like now.

I was obviously referring to maps like Plate and now current brick maps. I wasnt sure if the new map system would be like an invisible slate that we build on where we cant build downwards.

Where the hell have you been?

Mostly not signed into my account! :P I pop in and out from time to time, but I don't really have much to say, so I just hide in the shadows.

Reading through a bit more of the thread, on suggestions of there being some sort of block terrain generator that can do most of the dirty work? I'll be much more for this update if there ends up being one. Just my 2 cents.

This update + Eksi = ???

So all I really want to know is.

A: Hopefully support for different shaders could be added.

B: That the shadows will also benefit a possible player light change.

Its fantastic that this is finally coming, I might actually start playing again once it is finished.

I just hope that we can do more fancy and intricate things with brick related lights instead of say only the skybox's "Sun" direction.

I would also like more information on how emitters will be effected, if any.
If it has been said before, sorry for the waste of time.
